There's a lot of stigma around eating healthy and it being more expensive. However, there are ways of eating a healthy balanced diet without spending extortionate amounts.
Here are some tips:

Make a weekly grocery list and try to stick to your price budget.
Try to opt for packs of frozen fruit and veg, as these work out to be more cost effective (they're bigger and last longer).
If you're often short on time, precooked fish, meats and rice packs can be helpful in cutting down prep time, but still ensuring you're having a balanced meal freshly prepared meal.
Plan your meals in advance, working out where you can use the same ingredients for different meals. (Also more cost effective).
Opt for cheaper 'healthy' foods (a bag of carrots is around £37p in Aldi, a bag of tomatoes is around 60p)
Opt for cheaper sources of protein (A tin of kidney beans is around 50p in Aldi)
Multi packs of wholemeal wraps, pitta breads and loaves of bread are usually around £1, and can be filled with salad and a protein source. (A healthy and balanced lunch idea)
There are lots of ways you can still eat healthy whilst being on a budget!
